"In many of our homes today, life is centered around our kitchens. Being a part of the family of God, we have compiled these recipes. Some are treasured old family recipes, others are new, but each one reflects the love of good cooking, a strong tradition in our country.
We express our gratitude and appreciation to all who shared so generously of their time and energy in submitting, collecting and compiling the contents of this wonderful contribution. We also want to thank the most evaluative group of all ... SPOUSES, FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
We ask God to grant us a nearness to Him as we draw close to one another at mealtime. Give us the ability to challenge each toward kindness and generosity that the hungry are also fed. Bring us together often to break bread, love one another and encourage each other in things that pertain to God."
